Kinetic Fortress: a narrative interrupted was first produced and performed as a theatre production in 2007, February, at the 78th Street Lab in New York City.

The work is many things. It is a psychological piece, delving into the mind of an individual, in this case a woman, who appears to be grappling with her desired identity in a world that forces her to defend and justify it. While defensive she comments on our consumerist society interweaving social and political commentary with the pyschological.

It is truly 'a narrative interrupted' as her creative mind constantly interrupts the straightforward narrative with her poetic, stream of conscious scribbles and music compositions. The 'outer voices' come from deep within her psyche, either taunting you the listener or the main character herself.

We should be uncertain of where we are at all times. Are we in her head? Is she conscious or unconscious? How much is in reality? Did she hurt herself or possibly someone else?
